Lilja the Label.

Lilja the Label is a Nordic swimwear brand with a strong international focus and a clear, minimalist design language. As the brand expanded globally and strengthened its physical retail presence, the existing WooCommerce-based setup no longer supported the demands of omnichannel commerce and international scalability. The goal was to migrate to Shopify and build a unified foundation for long-term growth across channels and markets.

Challenge

The previous WooCommerce setup fragmented online and offline operations and made international expansion increasingly complex.

Lilja the Label’s previous WooCommerce setup limited visibility into customer data and made it difficult to operate seamlessly across online and offline channels. Physical stores and ecommerce operated separately, resulting in fragmented product, order, and customer data. This fragmentation made it challenging to deliver consistent customer experiences or leverage in-store data to support digital growth.

At the same time, international expansion introduced new complexity. Managing multiple markets, currencies, and payment methods within the existing platform increased operational overhead and limited scalability. The challenge was to move away from a fragmented setup and create a single, scalable system that could support omnichannel operations and international growth.

Solution

By migrating to Shopify and implementing Shopify POS, Markets, and Payments, Lilja unified commerce, data, and international sales into one system.

We migrated Lilja the Label’s ecommerce from WooCommerce to Shopify, rebuilding the commerce foundation to support unified omnichannel operations. Shopify POS was implemented to connect online and in-store sales into one system, enabling real-time synchronization of product, customer, and order data.

To support international sales, Shopify Markets and Shopify Payments were introduced, allowing localized pricing, currencies, and payment methods within a single store. The new Shopify foundation provides the flexibility to continuously develop the customer experience, leverage data across channels, and scale internationally without replatforming.

Outcome

Lilja the Label now operates on a future-proof Shopify foundation that supports seamless omnichannel experiences and global growth.

Lilja the Label now operates on a scalable omnichannel Shopify foundation built for international growth. The unified setup simplifies daily operations, improves visibility into customer behavior, and enables more consistent experiences across channels and markets.

Most importantly, the brand has moved from a fragmented WooCommerce setup to a future-proof commerce platform that supports long-term growth — while preserving the clean, considered experience that defines Lilja the Label.
