Velobe is a Finnish brand focused on making electric cycling accessible, safe, and sustainable by offering professionally inspected and serviced used e-bikes. Operating under Helkama Comeback Bikes Oy as part of the Helkama Emotor group, the company combines a strong cycling heritage with a forward-looking circular business model. Velobe wanted to build an online store that supports this business model while making the process of buying an e-bike online clear and trustworthy.

Velobe’s business model created unique requirements for how products should be presented and how the purchasing experience should work online.
Velobe’s business model differs from a traditional e-commerce store because every bike sold is unique. Each e-bike has its own technical specifications, condition grading, and service history, which makes product presentation and comparison more complex. At the same time, building customer trust is critical since the products are used but professionally refurbished. Velobe needed an online store that presents every bike transparently, allows customers to compare technical specifications easily, and delivers a smooth buying experience—especially on mobile devices.

Our solution focused on building an online store that combines a clear user experience, transparent product information, and a scalable Shopify structure.
We built a new Shopify store for Velobe with a focus on clarity, transparency, and a trustworthy buying experience. Product pages were designed to clearly present each bike’s condition, technical specifications, and individual characteristics. In addition, we implemented advanced filtering and search functionality that allows users to narrow down bikes based on technical attributes. The store was built with a mobile-first approach and a scalable Shopify architecture designed to support Velobe’s future growth.
